Who We Are

God Moves is an nonprofit organization devoted to helping mothers and their children. We offer a variety of programs to help empower and educate, ensuring that each family is given the information they need to find success and happiness.

The Need

Single mothers face a variety of issues such as increased financial burden, emotional distress, time constraints, social stigma, and family issues. Their children often require more of their mother’s time than before, but are unable to receive it due to increased work hours or a second job needed to make ends meet. Some come from abusive relationships, and nonresident fathers do not always pay child support. They also face a lack of programs to help with child care, medical issues, and economic insecurity.
